So, everything we do at CNH Industrial is about reaching new heights as one team, always delivering for the good of our customers.Job PurposeAs a Systems Engineer II, you will be rResponsible for ensuring overall form, fit, and function of new vehicle electrical / electronic / software systems into a single complete harvesting system.Key Responsibilities
Responsible for executing system engineering best practices.
Define and maintain product level feature specifications, system layout, and documentation.
Work closely with architectural team to ensure maximum component scalability and modularity.
Understand intended product end user needs.
Assist in defining product vision and roadmap.
Define system level features and decompose those requirements into individual subsystem definitions and requirements.
Work across multiple engineering disciplines and development teams to coordinate system definition, design, and integration.
Coordinate with software development teams for implementation. Oversee integration of software onto the vehicle to ensure compliance to functional requirements.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve issues found during vehicle testing. Perform root cause analysis on issues which may include controller software, hardware I/O, wire harnessing, and mechanical subsystems.
Conduct design analysis on components, vehicle systems and/or software architectures to verify new Requirements/Specifications can be achieved. This can include investigating HW I/O, wire harnessing, controller software and mechanical subsystems. This could include defining resource requirements, schedule to meet project objectives, as well as participation in design reviews, Safety Analysis and DFMEAs
Prepare technical documentation and data analysis. Participate in design reviews, FMEAs, Hazard and Risk Assessments.
Collaborate to develop automated testing for assigned systems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience Required
B. S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Systems Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical with Controls experience to include exposure or experience, through coursework, related to Embedded Electronic Systems and Controls
1-3 years of experience in embedded systems development
Experience in off highway automation and/or autonomy.
Strong experience with off highway vehicle electronics.
Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and experience
Understanding of programming languages
Ability to learn & interpret vehicle networking protocols
Proficient in English, both written and verbal
Ability to communicate effectively with employees and leadership staff
Has intermediate knowledge and skills in the engineering discipline. Uses prescribed techniques and procedures within established criteria.
Performs entry-level technical work that requires previous experience.
Works independently, as well as with a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with agricultural, construction, Off-Highway/On-Highway mobile equipment
Experience with Electro-Hydraulic Control Systems and Model Based Embedded System design
Demonstrated knowledge of Model Based Design, using Mathworks® Simulink® and Stateflow®, C-code and other relevant development design tools
Demonstrated technical leadership and organization skills
Experience with Electro-Hydraulic or vehicle control systems for on/off-highway vehicle systems
Experience with CAN and/or LIN protocols and diagnostic tools
Experience with Ethernet diagnostic tools
Demonstrated knowledge of design analysis tool and other relevant engineering systems
Demonstrated technical leadership and organization/control skills.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Experience developing software using the C programming language
