This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact, working with students withdiverse communication needs in school-based settings.As an SLP with Knowledge Road, you will have the autonomy to deliver individualizedtherapy using evidence-based practices, working collaboratively with school teamsand families to support student communication development.ResponsibilitiesAs a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Knowledge Road, you will:Provide direct, high-quality speech and language therapy services to students inboth individual and group settings, as mandated by their IndividualizedEducation Service Programs/Individualized Education Programs (IESP/IEP).Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and evaluate speech,language, voice, and fluency disorders.Develop and implement creative and effective treatment plans tailored to theunique needs of each student.Collaborate closely with parents, teachers, and other school professionals tocreate a holistic and supportive learning environment.Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of all services, progress, andoutcomes in compliance with DOE and Knowledge Road standards.Actively participate in IESP/IEP meetings, offering expert insights andrecommendations to guide student progress.QualificationsMust-Have:Current NYS license in Speech-Language Pathology.Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a school-based setting.Proficiency with electronic documentation and teletherapy platforms.NYC DOE fingerprinting and vendor status are required or a willingness to obtain them prior to starting.Schedule & LocationThis is a part-time, school-day or after-school position in Brooklyn with a schedule that follows the NYC DOE calendar. You will be providing services on-site at one or more schools in Queens, with specific assignments based on student needs. Hours/week are driven by IESP/IEP mandates; caseload may vary by assignment.
