OverviewAbout the RoleThe primary purpose of the Audiology Technician position is to provide newborn screening and follow-up services including but not limited to hearing screening and patient data management activities under the direction of the Lead Clinical/Senior Clinical Audiologist.ResponsibilitiesWhat You’ll Do
  • Works collaboratively with faculty and staff to maintain a timely and organized flow of patients and visitors throughout their experience in Ambulatory Care Services and with University Hospital.
  • Performs newborn hearing screening (in-patient)
  • Performs out-patient hearing re-screenings and follow-up.
  • Performs data collection and data entry.
  • Maintains safe and clean environment; provides for the patient’s comfort and safety.
  • Provides general office assistance including answering the telephone, scheduling patients, completing reports, gathering statistical data, using the electronic medical records system, filing, copying, and other duties as assigned.
QualificationsWhat You’ll Bring
  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Audiology required from an accredited program in Audiology. Certificate in Clinical Competence in
Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech and Hearing Association required. * Licensed in the State of New Jersey as verified by theBoard of Consumer Affairs. License must be maintained in good standing. Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience preferred. Must
meet licensure CEU requirements. * Must be CPR certified or complete certification within six (6) months of employment. Must becomputer proficient. Bilingual (Spanish, Portuguese or American Sign Language) is helpful but not required.What We Offer

CompensationThe expected salary range for this position is $ 16.49 – $ 17.50 per hour, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.About UsUniversity Hospital is one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers.
