- Troubleshoot, install, repair, inspect, and maintain mechanical systems related to industrial machinery and facilities equipment (e.g., metal detectors, conveyor belts, baggers, pumps, mixers, sealers, and scales).
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and assist employees with corrective actions.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and instructions for equipment installation, operation, and repair.
- Recommend and implement improvements for equipment reliability and operations.
- Ensure timely, efficient completion of maintenance work.
- Order and use proper materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Follow all safety, housekeeping, and environmental requirements.
- Accurately document maintenance activities per company and regulatory standards.
- Train employees on equipment safety and quality standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Perform electrical work, welding, and other duties as assigned.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and install electrical controls for industrial machinery and building facilities (e.g., PLC logic reading, I/O, VFDs, HMI’s, ethernet communications, sensors, solenoids, motor controls, single/three-phase distribution).
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and install mechanical systems (e.g., gear reducers, conveyors, bearings, pumps, mixers).
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems (motors, pumps, valves, piping, hoses).
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience (metal detectors, baggers, sealers, and scales required).
- Strong knowledge of plant maintenance operations, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience with metalworking and fabrication equipment.
- Prior experience in food production, manufacturing, or warehouse environments.
- Flexibility with hours; overtime may be required.
- Ability to lift/push up to 55 lbs; climb ladders; maneuver in confined spaces.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently.
- Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal & written).
- Computer literacy; ability to work with percentages, fractions, and decimals.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- High School diploma required.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- PLC programming certification preferred.
- Electrical/Mechanical certification preferred.
- Manufacturing/warehouse setting with exposure to dust, odors, noise, and cleaning chemicals.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in small spaces.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
- This position is onsite only (no remote work).
