MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Systems Security Engineer to join our team in Norfolk, VA. This is an onsite position.Join the Navy's Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) program and contribute to the evolution of warfighter readiness. We provide critical engineering and technical expertise for the U.S. Navy's premier Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) training capability. Our work involves seamlessly integrating live training with synthetic systems to create highly realistic and complex global training environments. We also drive the development of advanced representations for joint, theater, and national systems, and model new weapons technologies and emerging threats, ensuring our forces are prepared for any challenge.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Perform, support, or review security assessments to identify vulnerabilities or non-compliance and recommend activities to mitigate or eliminate identified threatsValidate, and verify complex system-wide security requirements based on analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demandsDesign, develop, and deploy security system architectures to meet evolving customer needsDesign, develop, implement and/or integrate security components including for networking, computing, and multi-enclave environmentsAssist in the development and implementation of security functionality in varied products and services across the enterprise environmentReview, provide feedback, and help update and maintain project and program documentation which contain IS stipulations, such as system security plans (SSP), certification and accreditation (C&A) packages, and other system design artifactsEnforce compliance with security authorization activities in accordance with Government standards and the RMFMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related technical field and 5+ years of relevant experience, OR Associates degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, OR High School Diploma and eleven 11 years of relevant experience.Experience identifying and analyzing systems requirementsExperience developing and maintaining system applications and securityExperience providing user support and guidanceExperience recommending and implementing security upgrades, security patches, and new applications vulnerabilities for installed equipmentExperience ensuring proper documentation, coordination, and maintenance of multiple systemsExperience of DIACAP and RMF are required as well as ACAS experience and DISA ACAS certificationExperience with eMassComputing Environment/Operating System (CE/OS) certifications (Preferably VMware, Linux and/or Microsoft Windows 2022)Preferred Qualifications:3+ years of relevant work experience as an ISSE within a U.S. Government environment, DoD strongly preferredActive SEC+ CE certificationMaster’s degree in Computer Science or related technical fieldActive TS with SCI eligibilityClearance Requirements:Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCIPhysical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
