Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic School in West Seattle seeks a qualified full-time Kindergarten/ 1st Grade Aide, starting in late-August 2025.Our school serves Preschool thru 8th grade students in an inclusive Catholic school environment. We face this as a sacramental community united and empowered by the Holy Spirit."The successful candidate will be collaborative in nature, working with our Kindergarten and First Grade teachers to support student learning and growth. A successful candidate will have the skill and enthusiasm needed to work with early learners and adults alike, bringing teamwork, creativity and classroom management as a member of an instructional team. A successful classroom aide works in partnership with the teachers to support development and growth and works to help students in reading fluency (1st grade) and all subject areas in Kindergarten. Candidates should hold a minimum of a high school diploma and will be expected to fully pass a background check, and Virtus Safe Environment training. CPR/ First Aid and DCYF background check preferred. A successful candidate is creative, flexible, reliable and dependable, and has the confidence to work independently (even subbing occasionally). OLG School seeks highly qualified applicants, with experience working with school-aged children in a multi-age setting. A preference will be given to candidates who are practicing Catholics and an emergency teaching certification or higher is encouraged but not required.Typical Schedule:
Full Time: 40 hours a week.
Monday- Friday: 7:45- 3:45pmMajor Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the K and 1st grade teachers and Learning Support Teacher.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance and communication.
  • Recess coverage.
  • Lead reading groups in 1st grade.
  • Assist with classroom management and support teacher in day-to-day tasks.
  • Establish report with students and families.
  • Postivitely model respect, professionalism and community spirit.
  • Attend Mass and school-wide programing during the school day.
Pay Rate and Benefits
Hourly rate: $ 21.00 - $26.00 salary commensurate with experience.
  • Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
As a full time role, this position is eligible for benefits.
