We are seeking a skilled Web Application Developer to design and build dynamic web applications in support of Information Technology (IT) projects. In this role, you will leverage modern web-based technologies to enhance user experiences, improve system functionality, and align web applications with organizational goals. You will also play a key role in solving emerging national security challenges by developing secure, scalable, and resilient web solutions that support critical operations.   • Design and develop websites and web applications using a variety of graphics software, development tools, and programming techniques.
  • Create and enhance user interface (UI) features, site animations, and special effects elements to improve engagement.
  • Collaborate with the design team to refine the look and feel of the organization’s online presence.
  • Develop and implement web solutions that support the organization’s communication strategies and goals.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility, mobile responsiveness, and adherence to accessibility standards.
  • Maintain and update existing web applications, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as needed.
  • Stay up to date with emerging web technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of web-based technologies and web development frameworks.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end libraries such as React or Angular.
  • Experience with design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or other relevant applications.
  • Knowledge of back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, PHP) and database management (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
Location & Travel Details:
  • Must be local to the Washington, DC area as on-site work will be required.
Security Clearance Requirement:
  • Active/Current Top Secret clearance required; TS/SCI and polygraph eligible holders are highly encouraged to apply.
