FIELD TECHNICIAN – DIVISION 28Required Knowledge and Experience: The ideal candidate must have experience as an electronic security/systems integration technician with knowledge in programming and installing various types of access control systems, CCTV systems (including IP-based systems), alarm systems, card access and electrified hardware knowledge including exit (panic) devices, strikes, maglocks, locksets and door closers. Automatic Operators a plus.The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience with:

DSX, RS2, Lenel, Brivo, and various other access control systems
Panasonic, Samsung CCTV IP systems
DMP, Ademco alarm systems
Relay logic & Low voltage circuit
Customer Interfacing/Provide training and guidance to users on how to operate the systems
Automatic Operators a plus
Computer skills to easily use the Internet e-mail, orders and forms
Staying updated on the latest development sin access control technology
Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required
Hold a valid driver’s license
Current and continued certification in at least one VMS system
Current and continued certification in at least one structured cabling system
At least one year’s experience as an Installer (or equivalent position)
Successfully pass a background check and drug screen

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Basic knowledge of networking principles, IP camera technology, controller hardware, door hardware and credential technologies
Ability to terminate and test category cable and fiber optic cable
Basic knowledge of low voltage principles (ohm’s law, load calculations, metering, etc.)
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, line diagrams and specifications
Ability to communicate adequately with customer representatives in the field
Ability and willingness to serve as a mentor for Installers and/or junior Field Technicians
