- Phase 1 Stabilization: Resolve issues blocking active/active operations (file conflicts, reconciliation automation, IPC cleanup, nightly job redesign).
- Phase 2 OS Modernization: Upgrade OS (RHEL 4/5 Alma Linux 9), fix code/library compatibility, set up test cycles, and enable parallel development.
- Phase 3 Cloud Migration: Guide migration of the platform to AWS (infra setup, nightly job redesign, source code migration).
- Architect and implement an active-active, multi-site architecture to ensure scalability and resiliency.
- Provide leadership in porting the Legacy Platform to the latest operating systems.
- Define and oversee the cloud migration strategy, ensuring security, performance, and compliance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to establish CI/CD pipelines, code repository migration (SVN Git), and automated testing frameworks.
- Guide a team of C/Linux/Cloud specialists to execute modernization activities.
- Partner with business stakeholders, AWS architects, and product teams to align modernization with business priorities.
- 15+ years of experience in software architecture and solution design, with a focus on legacy modernization.
- Proven expertise in C, Linux internals, Oracle databases, and integration of monolithic applications.
- Strong hands-on experience in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Step Functions, Batch, IAM, Networking, and Security).
- Experience designing active-active, multi-site architectures.
- Expertise in operating system upgrades, porting, and compiler-level fixes.
- Experience in automotive domain or similar regulated industries preferred.
- Strong understanding of modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, Git migration, containerization, monitoring).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
