This includes tasks related to program operations, legislative requests, media inquiries, public records requests, etc.Operationalize Medicaid policy and program concepts to generate quantitative measures of Florida Medicaid recipients, services, costs, and providers. Develop, test, and execute computer programs using SQL and Florida Health Care Connections (FX) Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to obtain data and prepare statistical analyses for responding to requests from Federal CMS, agency management, and other bureaus.Interpret statistical results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to independent complex data mining, and report data in formats suited to different audiences.Contribute to peer reviews and cross-training as directed.Work with other bureaus and sections to ensure the availability of data elements to support the Division of Medicaid's data analytic needs.Performs other duties as assigned.This is an anticipated vacancy.This position is not a remote or telework position.Benefits of Working for the State of Florida:Working for the State of Florida is more than a paycheck. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
  • Two years of professional experience preparing data reports or presentations.
  • Five years of professional experience utilizing Access, SQL, Python, or other Database programs.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor's degree or a more advanced degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant discipline such as mathematics, computer science, or statistics.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience or a background in health care.
