
Production Supervisor (Bogie Assembly) 2nd Shift

- Manage, coach, and develop a team of up to 30-40 workers in bogie assembly on 2nd shift.
- Conduct bi-annual employee performance reviews; plan, monitor, and document training and development.
- Promote an ownership culture and ensure every employee takes personal responsibility for success.
- Facilitate positive communication and keep the team informed of work status, performance, and process changes.
- Plan and execute bogie assembly operations, define workflow, and establish priorities to meet project and interdepartmental requirements.
- Track and manage production performance; identify constraints and implement effective countermeasures.
- Ensure production vehicles are ready for inspections and shipping deadlines.
- Provide functional leadership and support for bogie machining and weld teams only when required.
- Offer technical guidance and help resolve issues in machining and weld areas as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives from team ideas.
- Identify root causes of defects and implement measures for defect reduction.
- Collaborate with other supervisors and support functions (Quality, Engineering, Scheduling, Procurement) to solve problems and improve outcomes.

- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, PPE, and company policies.
- Minimum 5 years of production supervision experience in manufacturing.
- Experience implementing changes to improve safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
- Effective coaching, leadership, communication, and team-building skills for an hourly workforce.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and evaluate parts against specifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; SAP experience preferred.
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes for mechanical and electrical assembly.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
- Rail/Rolling Stock manufacturing experience is a plus.

The pay range for this position is $98,300.00 - $132,700.00 annually with a target incentive of 5% of the base salary.
