Job Description:SUMMARYResponsible for completing assigned rounds throughout the work shift, assists with periodic parking lot rounds, ensures campground compliance, provides assistance in the event of theft or property damage, completes reports in relation to theft, property damage, and/or injury (after hours only), files reports in accordance with Grand Targhee's file retention policy, monitors security cameras and may need to locate/remove camera footage for retention, helps the Human Resources department in the event assistance is needed, enforces all of Grand Targhee's policies and procedures, works as a member of a team and communicates all pertinent information with co-workers (next shift) to allow a seamless transition of information, notifies authorities in the event of an emergency, and acts as a ambassador of Grand Targhee by assisting guests and employees alike. Responsible for providing protection to employees, guests and company property. Supports the Guest Services and Facilities departments. Additional responsibilities as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Patrols and periodically inspects assigned areas to include lodging rooms, parking lots, mechanical rooms, lifts, pool area, base area retail outlets, and other common areas.
  • Immediately reports more serious problems such as fire, flooding, or power outages to Facilities Manager and Director of Facilities.
  • Responsible to detect person, or persons, whose presence on the property is not considered to be in the best interest of the resort.
  • Monitors activities of guests and employees for unauthorized removal of company property.
  • Enforces all city, county, state and federal laws and/or ordinances where applicable and contacts appropriate authorities when needed.
  • Performs monthly fire safety inspections
  • Inspects all areas for safety and fire hazards and reports discrepancies. Takes action(s) as needed.
  • Service guests' needs such as delivering towels, rollaway beds, etc. to their rooms (after hours).
  • Performs light maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, plunging toilets, etc.
  • Reports more serious problems to maintenance staff via telephone, or in person.
  • Completes assigned daily reports regarding status of resort security noting any irregularities found on the shift.
  • Participate in resort activities, training programs and meetings as directed by supervisor.
  • Maintains a positive, professional and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Flexible working hours. Some job sharing may be required.
  • Assist with snow removal operations as needed; manually or mechanically (if qualified).
RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY: * Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests at all times.
  • Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
  • Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to Facilities Supervisor.
  • Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Resort's Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures or manuals.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
  • Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.
