Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Correctly prepare all food served following Johnny Rockets recipes and special orders
  • Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food is preserved
  • Accurately portion food for serving
  • Complete food temperature checks before and during service
  • Communicate with other Team Members in a professional and effective manner
  • To maintain a clean work area
  • Maintain daily production records
  • Reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisor
  • Store food properly and safely, marking date and item
  • Ensure the proper running of the kitchen areas.
  • Training of new and existing team members to Johnny Rockets Grillology Standards
  • Responsible for some areas of inventory
  • Responsible for some areas of ordering
  • All other job duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Possess ability to work as part of a team and to self-motivate
  • Ability to use knives in a safe manner
  • Knowledgeable in workplace and safety procedures
  • Knowledgeable in the preparation of menu items
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment and to multi - task
  • Prior cooking experience
  • Must be able to stand for up to (6) hours at a time
  • Must be able to reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push/pull items weighing 50 lbs. or less
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and other shifts as necessary
  • Must be able to speak, understand, read and write English
  • Must have up to date ServSafe Certification
  • Must be at least 18 years old
