  • Plans and lays out work from electrical and electronic block diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics and technical orders.
  • Performs pretest, operational (functional) and final testing; final tuning; alignment and/or calibration of highly complex electronic systems, components and/or subassemblies.
  • Installs, overhauls, repairs, fabricates and/or modifies electronically controlled industrial system, components and/or subassemblies.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on electronic control systems to included disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration and software back-up on all DDC systems.
  • Utilizes safety and security practices and procedures following established rules and regulations and maintains a safe, clean and secure work environment.

Ideal Candidate: Looking for a Full-Time Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic(WG-2606-11) to work at the 96 Test Wing, 96 Civil Engineer Group, 796 Civil Engineer Squadron, Infrastructure Flight (796 CES/CEOI) at Eglin AFB, in Florida, to serve as Electronic Industrial Control Mechanic to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate highly complex systems of electronic sensing and control. Will work on and program computer controlled and centralized energy management and control system (EMCS) which use special purpose, dedicated computers to store operating parameters and initiate adjustments.PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
