This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Millwright Details:

Contract to Hire position
$28.00 to $30.00 /hour
Second Shift (Monday through Friday from 02:00pm to 10:00pm)

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, conveyors, and motors.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate equipment assembly and alignment.
Operate hand tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments to make adjustments and ensure proper machine functionality.
Perform routine preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Millwright Qualifications:

2-5 years of millwright experience
High School Diploma/GED
