Reports to: Production ManagerCooperates with: Operations/Production, Procurement, Engineering, Human ResourcesLocated: Houston, TXJob Summary: MIRATECH is seeking a motivated and experienced Second Shift Supervisor to lead our evening production operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring team performance, product quality, and adherence to safety standards, while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday - Thursday, 3:00 pm to 1:30 am.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and support second shift employees, promoting safety and productivity.Lead daily startup and safety meetings to communicate goals and maintain compliance.Monitor and guide team performance, offering real-time feedback and coaching.Ensure all production tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to resolve challenges and meet production goals.Drive quality standards to exceed customer and company expectations.Participate in quality and manufacturing engineering initiatives.Support and promote continuous improvement across shifts.Report on shift activity and performance to management through written and verbal communication.QualificationsAbility to read and interpret production drawings and technical documentation.Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Decision-making ability under pressure with sound problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).Secondary education or certifications in manufacturing or continuous improvement preferred.Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay based on experienceAnnual reimbursement for safety gearWellness reimbursement to support a healthy lifestyleHealth, Dental & Vision InsuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA)401(k) with company match up to 5%Life and Disability InsuranceOpportunities for advancement and skills developmentEqual Opportunity: MIRATECH is an equal opportunity employer and supports a diverse and inclusive workforce.
