
Concrete Carpenters

- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements and plan work accordingly
- Construct, erect, and dismantle concrete forms and scaffolding
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials for concrete formwork
- Prepare surfaces and set up guidelines for pouring concrete
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete using various tools and equipment
- Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete surfaces
- Apply curing and surface treatments to concrete
- Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door frames, and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete
- Perform concrete repair and patching work as needed
- Operate and maintain concrete mixing and pouring equipment
- Ensure proper curing of concrete under various weather conditions
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to coordinate work activities
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
- Mentor and train junior team members in concrete carpentry techniques
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Concrete Carpenter
- Proficiency in concrete finishing, concrete pouring, and concrete carpentry
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations
- Physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred
- OSHA certification and other relevant safety certifications
- Proficiency in various finishing techniques such as floating, troweling, and edging
- Knowledge of different concrete textures and patterns
- Ability to achieve smooth and level surfaces
- Understanding of proper curing techniques for optimal concrete strength
- Skill in applying sealants and protective coatings
- Experience with decorative concrete finishes, including stamped and colored concrete
