- Develop, write, and edit comprehensive IT policies, procedures, and documentation tailored to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with IT subject matter experts (SMEs), compliance teams, and other departments to gather information and ensure accuracy.
- Translate highly technical information into documentation that is understandable for non-technical audiences, ensuring content is clear, concise, and user-friendly.
- Establish and maintain consistent standardized templates, style guides, and document control systems for IT documentation.
- Develop training materials and guides to facilitate the understanding and adoption of IT policies and procedures among employees.
- Organize and conduct documentation reviews, audits, and feedback sessions with stakeholders to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
- Contribute to knowledge management initiatives by curating, categorizing, and publishing IT documentation in central repositories or knowledge bases.
- Advocate for best documentation practices within the OCEP and Client teams, providing guidance, cross-training, and mentorship.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Information Technology, Computer Science, English, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in technical writing, preferably within an IT, software, or technology environment.
- Excellent command of the English language, with strong grammar, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend and document complex technical systems, processes, and policies.
- Familiarity with IT governance and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, CUI).
- Proficiency in documentation tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Confluence, SharePoint, or similar).
- Knowledge of information architecture, metadata, and best practices for document control and versioning.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and regulatory requirements as needed.
- Advanced degree or certification in technical communication, information management, or related discipline.
- Professional certifications relevant to IT governance, risk management, or compliance (e.g., CISA, CISM, CISSP, ITIL).
