- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,880 - $2,020
- Location: Boise, Idaho (83712) Idaho healthcare jobs
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (August 24, 2025 November 23, 2025)
- Unit Setting: Medical Surgical Oncology, 24-bed unit
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM), weekends as needed
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Floating: First to float to similar units at Boise, Meridian, and Nampa campuses
- Orientation: 2 days with a preceptor
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification required
- BSN required
- Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience preferred (chemo or bone marrow transplant experience highly desired)
- For medical-surgical nurses: minimum 2 years of clinical experience required
- Chemo certification required to administer chemotherapy (preferred but not mandatory for all applicants)
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Ability to respond appropriately to life-threatening cardiac rhythms
- First-time travel nurses welcome
- Must reside at least 50 miles outside Boise to qualify for this travel nursing job
- Deliver direct patient care to oncology, bone marrow transplant, and medical-surgical patients
- Monitor, assess, and respond to patient conditions, including life-threatening rhythms
- Administer pain medication drips/PCAs and chemotherapy (if certified)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality clinical support
- Float to similar units and sister campuses as needed
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations
- Document patient care using Epic EMR
- Promote a culture of teamwork and patient-centered care
