- Identifies and documents problems traced to data, configuration and system output issues and recommends solutions.
- Utilizes industry best practices to analyze data sets to glean knowledge and insights to configure AI/ML models/solutions that match customers’ requirements.
- Creates SQL and Python scripts to retrieve and analyze data from data sources.
- Conducts necessary transformations so that data is structured ready for data analysts and data scientists.
- Reviews work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and customer standards.
- Identify and documents problems traced to both original data pipeline issues, data staging environments, system outputs, and recommends solutions.
- Identify and triage deviations from specification and works with customer and engineering staff to resolution of the identified problem.
- Assists with configuration of AI/ML platform to support customer specifications.
- Works with development, subject matter experts and data scientist teams to ensure projects meet all requirements and schedules.
- Conducts user research to identify data and processing pain points and opportunities for improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience.
- Experience with writing Python, R, SQL and JavaScript code.
- Experience with data collections and analytic strategies and techniques.
- Proficiency in data preprocessing, cleaning and data engineering.
- Knowledge in one or more cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently with some supervision; a self-starter, with strong and consistent follow-through on initiatives.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active DoD SECRET clearance (preferred), or the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance.
- Experience working with multiple data sources
- Docker and/or Kubernetes Container Generation experience desirable
- Previous experience with AI/ML, structured and unstructured data, and data analytics desirable
- MS Office 365 skills, mainly MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, highly preferred
- Other relevant business/technical certifications
