- Establishes and maintains excellent communications with the drivers, creating a positive and rewarding working environment.
- Assist in daily planning and coordinate transportation operations including dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles.
- Assist in maintenance schedules, licensing, and PMs of fleet.
- Reconcile fuel invoices and submit weekly reporting.
- Responsible for assisting the Transportation Manager in the daily dispatching of Food Drives.
- Works with the Transportation Manager to control and audit routes on a bi-annual basis, including setting up new routes and re-organizing existing ones.
- Assists the Director of Operations by completing the daily workload and tasks in the absence of the Transportation Manager.
- Updates and maintains all appropriate paperwork related to drivers' daily route sheets and vehicle inspection reports, monitors and makes edits to our existing Roadnet system. Works to ensure D.O.T. Rules and Regulations are being adhered to by all drivers.
- Works with the Product Sourcing Team to schedule donation pickups and coverage of retail pickups when needed.
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience with transportation; routing, scheduling, forecasting, planning, logistics, delivery performance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation operations, FMCSA, and DOT regulations.
- Proficient in usage of transportation optimization software to perform routing, scheduling, and shipment tracking.
- Strong customer focus.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications and routing software; Roadnet and/or AGI a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail, ability to handle interruptions, maintains focus on tasks and produce accurate work.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Bachelor's degree in business or Logistics preferred or comparable experience of one to three years in transportation operations for a distributor, retailer, or manufacturing company.
- One to three years of transportation, routing and dispatch experience required.
- Class B license preferred, in the event the Transportation Coordinator needs to assist with pick-ups and/or deliveries.
- Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background check.
