The Environmental Services Technician creates and maintains a safe, clean, and hospitable environment for clients and team members at Team Recovery.Education Requirement: High School Diploma or GED.Experience Requirement: 1+ Years of Relevant Experience.License Requirement: Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, be 21 years or older, and be deemed insurable through Team Recovery's insurance carrier.Job Responsibilities:
  • Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing hard floors.
  • Vacuuming and spot-cleaning carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
  • Dusting surfaces such as furniture, fixtures, and vents.
  • Sanitizing high-touch areas like doorknobs, light switches, and handrails.
  • Cleaning interior windows, glass doors, and mirrors.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting sinks, toilets, and urinals.
  • Restocking supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Addressing plumbing-related concerns, such as unclogging sinks or reporting issues.
  • Emptying and replacing trash liners in waste bins.
  • Sorting and handling materials as per organizational policies.
  • Safely disposing of hazardous or biomedical waste, if applicable.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting areas in healthcare or sensitive environments following infection control protocols.
  • Using PPE as required to safely handle biohazards or potentially infectious materials.
  • Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, extractors, or power washers.
  • Reporting equipment malfunctions or coordinating repairs with supervisors.
  • Monitoring cleaning supply levels and reporting shortages.
  • Restocking areas with essential supplies, including toiletries and disinfectants.
  • Preparing areas for events, including setup and post-event cleanup.
  • Handling deep cleaning tasks after major events or seasonal maintenance schedules.
  • Adhering to all organizational policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
  • Handling chemicals safely and following MSDS protocols.
  • Ensuring proper signage (e.g., wet floor signs) is used to prevent accidents.
  • Addressing basic repairs, such as replacing light bulbs, tightening loose fixtures, or reporting larger issues to maintenance teams.
  • Performing light outdoor maintenance, including sweeping walkways, picking up litter, clearing debris, and maintaining the cleanliness of building entrances and surrounding areas.
  • Assisting with lawn care tasks such as trimming, weeding, or raking as needed.
  • Supporting snow removal efforts, including shoveling walkways, applying salt or de-icing products, and ensuring safe access to building entrances during winter months.
  • Assisting with the relocation or rearrangement of office furniture, equipment, and supplies, ensuring items are safely handled and properly placed as directed.
  • Reporting cleanliness issues, damaged property, or other facility concerns to supervisors.
  • Maintaining logs of tasks completed, supplies used, or issues encountered.
**Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen (required).
