We pride ourselves on combining the energetic atmosphere of a startup company with the stability and experience of a global leader.Job DescriptionAs SVP, Global Director of Resource Management & Operations, you’ll lead a strategic, business-critical discipline that drives a cultural shift towards people accountability when it comes to casting, mobility, and hiring. This role serves as executive sponsor for resource planning and allocation tools and platforms to allow for transparency and effective deployment of talent. Reporting into the Global Client lead and the EVP, Resource Management & Operations, you’ll serve a critical role in the business and oversee a large team of Resource Managers.Resource Management sits at the heart of the agency and its operations and is where several key functions intersect. We provide a unique perspective on talent as it relates to skill sets, business needs and operational demands. We work across all disciplines to understand the talent needs of the departments to help facilitate and anticipate the right resources based on availability and skillset.We have a commitment to the agency vision paired with the ability to provide value for our talent. The right people in the right place at the right time is our tagline and we strive to drive results through this philosophy.The Resource Management capability is built on understanding data and relationships, which includes talent allocations, utilization and billability combined with talent performance, listening skills and emotional intelligence. Our day-to-day duties are generated by the fluctuation of workflow and revenue, which will surface through engagements with client teams, employees, managers, and team leadership or through review and analysis of key financial and operational reporting.Responsibilities:Resource Management
  • Partner with Business/Client leadership to identify areas of Business and Client growth and the talent needed to support growth; partner with finance & business leadership to develop and maintain a profitable Contribution Margin.
  • Collaborate with business and client leads to create transparency around team metrics (e.g., forecasted capacity reporting; utilization vs. realization; billability & skills need analysis; future staffing trends)
  • Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition on hiring compensation, talent management, and mobility
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to identify talent and skill gaps, prioritize open positions and gain internal financial approvals needed to begin the external hiring process
  • Act as confidante and partner in sensitive talent issues, maintaining the strictest of confidentiality
  • Maximize our employee experience by putting people first and balancing career desires with business needs.
  • Drive diversity of talent into client and project teams – ensure casted talent represents a diverse set of backgrounds, skillsets, and expertise.
  • Effectively negotiate and broker trade-off in resourcing projects; support and mentor resource management team members with any negotiations
  • Analytical and insightful – asks the right questions; Provide guidance on the importance of details and accurate data
  • Anticipate issues, communicate, and proactively come up with strong solutions
  • Forecast freelance costs and manage vendor agreements
  • Keep current on Groupe U.S. and external RM best practices and introduce to Agency
Process & Operations
  • With a high degree of Executive Presence and a Data-Driven approach, lead RM processes
  • Lead reporting used for resource allocation and costing decisions
  • Seek and identify opportunities to use technology to continually streamline + automate RM processes, data mining, and reporting
  • Identify resourcing and process change opportunities
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders to champion operational change initiatives
  • Sustain change through persistent and consistent communication
  • Play a key role in defining strategy and implementation plans for resourcing tools and platforms
  • Partner with functional leaders to lead change management, mapping current business processes to platform functionality
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience with previous experience leading a large resource management team
  • Previous Media and/or creative agency experience required
  • Demonstrates progression in level of responsibility within an agency environment
  • Excellent leadership skills with ability to lead team to deliver high-quality results
  • Ability to anticipate and quickly assess changing client needs and adapt resources and strategies accordingly
  • Ability to translate data into viable business solutions to enhance strategies and meet deliverables
  • Exceptional planning, coordination, management, and communication skills
  • Ability to influence vision, direction, and goals for the resource management function
  • Lead the implementation of CoLab resource solutions, document management, and related processes that will achieve the results of consistency, continuity, efficiency, and quality to meet the future requirements of the business
  • Advanced negotiation and conflict management skills
Additional InformationCompensation Range: $167,000 - $273,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
