We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to lead our clients' 2nd shift team in a high mix/low volume manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience and a strong background in Lean initiatives. #LI-JM1Essential Functions
  • Ensure safety, quality, on-time starts, and delivery standards are met.
  • Develop and maintain performance KPIs.
  • Lead daily improvements in efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
  • Participate in continuous improvement events and implement best practices.
  • Adhere to ISO standards and conduct quality audits.
  • Coordinate with various departments to resolve material shortages and create work schedules.
  • Monitor production lines, resolve issues, and implement long-term solutions.
  • Manage communication with other departments and participate in projects as necessary.
Supervisory Duties
  • Provide coaching, training, and feedback to enhance team performance.
  • Maintain positive employee relations and apply company policies consistently.
  • Implement 6S and Lean Manufacturing principles for higher efficiency.
  • Analyze data for root cause analysis regarding output and efficiency.
  • Resolve employee conflicts and consult with HR when needed.
  • Review and approve vacation requests, and complete administrative tasks.
  • Participate in interviewing, selecting, and training new staff members.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and communicate company procedures and changes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations, or Business preferred; comparable experience considered.
  • Industrial Product Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a high mix/low volume or one-off weld and fabrication setting is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in GD&T and weld symbols or willing to learn.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Hands-on leadership with a shop floor presence.
  • Ability to work effectively with various engineering teams to achieve targets.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and reach frequently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to follow all safety requirements and work in small areas.
  • Ability to climb step ladders and work platforms as needed.
