- Perform all work listed on work orders with efficiency and accuracy
- Utilize welding, soldering, body alignment and oxidizing operations to perform all body and fender repairs
- Communicate with the Body shop manager as well as the parts department to ensure the materials are here to complete the jobs
- Examine all vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required; advise the body shop manager as needed
- Ability to follow factory and dealership procedures when performing warranty work
- Keep up to date with repair methods and techniques for vehicles, as well as service manuals and other publications
- Attend factory sponsored training classes to keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
- Ability to operate all body shop equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Understand and follow all federal, state and local regulations pertaining to hazardous materials and safety equipment
- Utilize basic mathematical skills to solve simple equations for mixing paints and chemicals
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to industry safety standards
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Possess own tools
- Auto body and collision damage repair certificate or 5 years of practical knowledge within an auto body repair facility
- ASE Credentials, Preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Willing to submit to a drug screen and background check
