Description :Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop manufacturing process for new and legacy multi-axis parts.
  • Mill-Turn experience highly desirable. 5 Axis milling experience is acceptable.
  • Design work holding and fixtures.
  • Program parts and fixtures Cad/Cam program.
  • Use machine simulation software to ensure collision free code.
  • Aid in quoting new work, including design for manufacturability feedback to customers.
  • S/U and run CNC mills and lathes as needed to support new product introduction and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Communicate and resolve issues with peers/manufacturing.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas on new and legacy parts.
  • Consults with supervisors, other programmers, and end users to gather information about program intent, functions, features, data requirements, input requirements, output requirements, internal and external checks and controls, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems.
  • Converts designs and specifications into computer code.
  • Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Have a minimum of 3-years of cad/cam program experience --- with a minimum of 3 years CNC experience combined with excellent computer skills.
  • Experience with GD&T.
  • Self-Starter / Self-Motivated / Flexible / Detail-Oriented.
  • Reliable and dependable.
  • Positive internal and customer focused attitude.
  • Must enjoy fast pace and rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong ability to organize, prioritize and communicate.
  • Champion projects to ensure meeting customer delivery.
  • On-the-job cad/cam training/growth will be provided for the motivated applicant.

  • Requires special technical knowledge of the techniques and procedures of software and network support for multiple users.
  • Must understand installation, configuration and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking, and accessory equipment.

  • Requires the ability to independently perform all the duties of the position efficiently and effectively.
  • Must have strong communication and training skills and be able to communicate technical information to non-technical users.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical DemandsDepending on the assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds.
