
NURSE PRACTITIONER

- Participates in defining, maintaining and interpreting standards of nursing practice in the Institute of Family Health.
- Prescribes medications and treatments
- Collaborates with other members of the team in the provision of regular health screening and other health promotion measures
- Makes home/hospital visits to clients and/or takes calls
- Participates in special projects and committees
- Participates in BIMC/PACC committees, as directed by Director of School Based Health Program
- Acts as preceptor for selected students and staff
- BSN and MSN Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
- License: Registered Nurse in New York State
- Board Certified
- Certification: Nurse Practitioner Certification & Registration, Certified or eligible for certification by recognized specialty organization, Current practice agreement
- Minimum 2 years or nursing experience and one year as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Demonstrated organizational, clinical, and interpersonal skills, as well as ability to problem solve using critical thinking
- Demonstrated basic computer skills including typing proficiency.
- Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
