The new Hardware Engineer will support the Re-entry Mk7 program for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). Use your strong electrical engineering skills to work with all project partners and define the future for FBM!
In this dynamic role you will:
- Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, alterations, material procurement, manufacturing, test and acceptance for a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical test systems and multifunction integrated test equipment in support of the US Navy's Ballistic Missile Flight Test Program.
- Mentor Junior engineers, interface extensively with out customers, as well as senior leadership.
- Create/update project/process documentation that align to project requirements.
- Lead the design, procurement, assembly, test and verification of our automated test systems, including data review and trending.
- Develop hardware requirements from subsystem to all locally assigned support equipment test systems.
- Interface with suppliers, customer and internal design teams to provide cost effective and low risk solutions.
- Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal design and business teams, vendors and customers.
- Support, as required, Failure Review Board activities through closure.
- Ability to travel and work at alternate work sites as required, less than 25%.
- Experience in both design and test of electrical hardware
- 5-9+ years of professional experience for this role.
- You will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
- Hardware development experience
- Experience with product life cycle (development, deployment, retirement).
- Strong technical background with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or other similar systems.
- Experience in one or more of the following: Windchill, Zuken, PSPICE.
- Experience working on projects teams and development efforts.
- Capability to lead a team responsible for development and test of integrate test systems, and experience as Subject Matter Engineer or equivalent.
- Demonstrated an ability to lead/coordinate with small diverse teams in development of tech products.
- Experience reading schematic diagrams and other technical documentations.
- Must be able to work autonomously and drive items to closure.
- Issue Tracking experience.
- Experience troubleshooting.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
