DescriptionBoulder County Human Services Department is seeking to hire a Permanency Caseworker B. Boulder County Human Services, Family and Children Services Division (FCS), is hiring a Permanency Caseworker B. This is a Specialized Child Welfare Case Management position serving children and youth eligible for adoption or another permanency plan (Allocation of Parental Responsibilities-APR or Relative Guardianship Assistance Program-RGAP) outside of return home. Children who are legally free after termination of parental rights, or are eligible for an APR or RGAP but who are not in an identified permanent home, require specialized services and supports to ensure that long term legal and emotional permanency is obtained. Casework practice for these youth could include participation in Permanency Roundtables, specialized recruitment activities, enhanced family finding efforts and any other activities to ensure the child obtains permanency.This position could also hold regular ongoing cases in addition to permanency cases, this would include families experiencing the dynamics of physical or sexual abuse, emotional/environmental neglect or youth who are beyond control of their parents.As an Ongoing Caseworker, you will be able to work in a collaborative fashion with families, agency partners, and, at times, the Court, to help families identify and treat the factors causing these types of family abuse and instability. Boulder County Child Welfare works from an assessment-driven, collaborative practice model that promotes families as drivers of their case plans as the caseworker provides coordination of clinical and community supports. We strive to keep children and parents together, offering a wide array of individualized service options, that leverages the family's support systems in anticipation of a successful case closure. Caseworkers have a huge impact on individual and family healing, as well as on the community as a whole as families become more stable.This is a full-time, benefited position that will work Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm with flexibility to meet families' needs. This position will work out of 515 Coffman St., Longmont, Colorado.
