Language Requirement: Fluency in Hebrew360 Talent Avenue is partnering with a well-respected Jewish school in Brooklyn, NY to find dedicated and experienced Part-Time Judaic Studies Lead Teachers for the 2025-2026 school year. This is an exciting opportunity to teach and engage students in grades 1-5, focusing on the development of Jewish values, traditions, and knowledge of Hebrew language and Judaic Studies.As a Lead Teacher, you will work in a nurturing and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to grow academically and spiritually. The school follows the Jewish calendar, which includes time off during the summer, offering a balanced schedule for staff.What You’ll Do:
- Design and maintain a classroom environment that fosters hands-on learning, group management, self-expression, and inclusion for all students.
- Communicate with parents and school counselors regarding student progress and development.
- Plan and implement lessons targeting specific Judaic Studies skills and concepts, including Humash and/or Safa.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure learning benchmarks are met.
- Cultivate core Jewish values such as kindness, respect, compassion, and integrity within students.
- Participate in school-wide activities, including PTA and student clubs, to enrich the school community.
- Fluency in Hebrew (Ivrit b’Ivrit) and experience in teaching Hebrew.
- Knowledge of Judaic Studies, Jewish religious customs, and holidays.
- Proven experience as a teacher, with at least 1-3 years of teaching experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
