We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Cost Accountant to join our team in Midway, TN. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate product costing, supporting financial planning, and ensuring compliance with company and audit requirements. Maintain and update Bill of Materials (BOMs), product structures, and manufacturing routings.
Perform cost roll-ups and ensure accurate inventory setup for parts and compounds.
Monitor and report on business plan performance against actual expenses, equipment/tooling investments, and inventory.
Maintain and track customer-owned tooling and vendor master records.
Manage fixed asset records and calculate depreciation using SAGE fixed asset software.
Participate in monthly financial close, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Prepare management reports for monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
Support internal and external audits with required documentation.
Assist with quarterly consolidation reporting to Sumitomo Riko.
Contribute to special projects across Cost Planning, ERP systems, and AR functions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
2+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Reliable, accurate, and committed to meeting deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with ERP systems.
Familiarity with SAGE Fixed Assets software.
