Pay Rate: $20.00 – $22.00/hour, depending on experience
Shift Schedule:1st Shift: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM3rd Shift: 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM (includes $1.00/hour shift differential)
Note: All candidates will initially train on 1st shift for a few months
Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Technician plays a key role in verifying product conformity through inspections and testing according to established work instructions. The technician will work in an ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliant environment and must be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
Key Responsibilities:Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections of productsPerform physical and chemical tests to determine product acceptabilityEvaluate products against drawings and specificationsCollect, classify, and analyze quality dataGenerate detailed inspection and test reportsIdentify and control non-conforming products or materialsConduct 100% inspections as requiredSupport R&D, product comparison, PPAP, and other engineering projectsInvestigate customer complaintsMaintain compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality standards
Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent2+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality lab environmentBasic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and ExcelAbility to read, write, and communicate in EnglishStrong math skills including percentages, metric and English unitsComfortable using PCs and standard office equipmentAble to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing/lab environment
Preferred Qualifications:Intermediate Microsoft Office skillsExperience with JD Edwards, AS400, or similar database systemsPrevious experience as a dedicated Quality TechnicianBackground in automotive, plastic, or heat-shrinkable tubing manufacturingKnowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other quality management systems
