
Senior Electrical Engineer - Medical Device - Burlington, MA

- Design end-to-end system architectures, including hardware, communication interfaces, and software components.
- Translate user needs into well-defined technical and design specifications.
- Lead the development cycle for hardware systems from concept and prototyping to verification and final refinement.
- Develop electrical schematics and oversee PCB layout for compact, low-power analog and digital systems (Altium preferred).
- Prepare comprehensive design documentation in alignment with Quality Management System.
- Provide oversight and hands-on support for embedded firmware development when needed.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver clinically and commercially viable medical devices.
- Mentor and support junior engineering staff throughout the design, implementation, and testing phases.
- Contribute technical expertise to proposal development and project planning efforts in support of business development.
- Take an active role in internal and external meetings, technical presentations, and reporting to sponsors.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site project support (approximately 5%).
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering
- Master's Degree is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in a relevant EE role.
- Proven expertise in analog and digital circuit design
- Experience in simulation and schematic capture.
- Hands-on experience with sensor signal conditioning and data acquisition systems.
- Experience designing low-power, compact, battery-operated electronic systems.
- Working knowledge of embedded firmware development, preferably in C.
- Understanding of system-level design concepts and functional decomposition.
