- Responsible for leading a team of two or more Community Development Outreach Officers.
- Understand the Bank’s assessment area(s) and target areas.
- Engage in community outreach and identification of CRA needs in assessment area(s) and target areas. Strengthen CNB’s community impact. Build trust with government, civic, and community leaders and other stakeholders.
- Conduct and/or participate in periodic formal Community Forums to assess community credit needs, and document results.
- Conduct thorough market analysis, economic research, and peer analysis to identify CNB’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
- Identify needed community development products and programs. Work with the CRA Officers to develop and implement programs and products.
- Develop plan to deliver CRA related programs, grants, and services to the community. agreed upon targets related to the Bank’s annual CRA goals.
- Create and maintain reports for the CRA Officer regarding effectiveness of plans, recommending adjustments as needed.
- Assist in the process donation requests and support the operations of the Bank’s Charitable Giving
- Seek community development service opportunities and support the development of service initiatives to increase community development services.
- Oversee proper documentation for all CRA activities
- Develop the Bank’s performance context, quarterly CRA review updates, and peer bank analysis to measure the Bank’s performance against goals and other peer banks.
- Develop and conduct CRA training for bank staff.
- Keep current with regulatory changes, supervisory guidance and industry concerns
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of increasingly responsible professional CRA community development planning experience
- 2+ years of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
- 3+ years of experience with CRA business development strategies.
- 3+ years of experience working in Financial Services or Banking Industry.
- Ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving common goals.
- Working knowledge of banking laws and regulations, particularly the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and its regulation.
- Ability to work with Tableau, Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and Power Point presentations
- Knowledge of CRA software programs, such as CRA WIZ
- Knowledge of loan products
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Ability to assist with CRA-related business development strategies and coordinate actions to enhance the Bank’s CRA performance
- Identifies and addresses challenges, develops creative solutions, and adapts to changing circumstances.
- Prefer candidates with experience in multiple areas related to this CRA leadership role
