Check out the description below and apply today!This position is charged with implementation and delivery of employer-based health and wellbeing services conducted under the collaboration and direction of Employee Health Services physician leadership.. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will deliver direct patient care to employees for on-site emergencies, work-related injuries and illnesses, episodic personal care, medical health surveillance examinations, preventive examinations and chronic disease management. This APP will be primarily located at the Lilly Lebanon facility but may be asked to cover other area based Lilly clinics as the demand dictates. The provider will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service to both our patients and our internal business partners. The role may also have the opportunity to engage in primary care service delivery. Additional responsibilities may be added as deemed necessary to meet the needs of the business.Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week) worked as part of a schedule that meets the needs of the business. This role includes occasional telephonic on-call support for evening and weekend medical operations.Ways you’ll contribute:1. Protect the health and well-being of the company’s employees through the provision of healthcare as an advanced practice provider.2. Maintain a thorough understanding of Lilly’s policies and procedures.3. Liaison with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) professionals to ensure appropriate care for employees and management of workplace hazards.4. Work with internal and external resources to manage occupational and personal injuries and illnesses to an appropriate resolution.5. Assist management as needed with quality assurance and improvement initiatives.6. Contribute to the professional development of other departmental staff.7. Assist and support Employee Health Services’ clinical administrative tasks as delegated.8. Ensure adequate staffing of the clinic such that employees’ medical needs are met.Key Objectives:1. Utilizing best practices, assess, diagnose, treat and prescribe for a variety of ambulatory care complaints, episodic illnesses, including both occupational and personal healthcare needs.2. Engage in evidence-based occupational medicine services while collaborating with the internal occupational medicine physician on complex medical situations and work-related cases as necessary.3. Prescribe appropriate medications and devices within scope of practice and within the collaborative agreement and prescribing protocols that are consistent with accepted clinical guidelines.4. Provide follow up care for all injuries and/or illnesses.5. Support/Assist with annual preventive screenings and health surveillance examinations.6. Educate employees on health behaviors, self-care skills and other treatment options appropriate to their individual needs.7. Collaborate with physicians, internal and external to Lilly, and other health care professionals as needed.8. Provide appropriate physician referrals for personal illness and injuries with consideration given to the employee’s home address and culture.9. Appropriately use the available local resources to provide best care and referrals to the employee while assuring the company remains in compliance with all medical regulations.10. Respond to on-site emergencies and implement first aid care for job-related injuries and any non-work-related illnesses.11. Support first aid and safety programs as needed per site, including but not limited to the local Emergency Response Team.12. Develop awareness of potential industry related occupational hazards and inform local Health and Safety of potential areas for loss.13. Develop awareness of company resources for referral as need for crisis management and other scenarios.14. Provide research on communicable diseases and referrals to expert resources including local and state health department, infectious disease specialists and other resources.15. Report infectious diseases to appropriate local and state agencies as required by law.16. Support and promote the company’s wellbeing programming and serve as a resource for employees for wellness and lifestyle interventions and/or management of chronic diseases.17. Work in tandem with Lilly Employee Health Services to provide travel immunizations and flu shot clinics as needed.18. Serve as site liaison to HSE and OSHA record keepers and the EHS work-related Nurse Case Manager.19. Maintain medical records in accordance with privacy standards and other regulations.20. Provide on-call support to evening and weekend operations as needed to ensure adequate clinical coverage for the business. Call requirements will vary based on local and remote site needs.21. Ensure the clinic is adequately staffed by clinical personnel in anticipation and response to the site and its employees’ medical needs as well as the staffing needs of EHS.Basic Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing or Physician Assistant Program
  • Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant from an accredited university
  • Certification from a national certification agency as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner, Advanced Practice Nurse, or Physician Assistant.
  • Current State of Indiana license as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant with prescriptive privileges.
  • Willingness to obtain medical licensure in additional states to support US-based employees, including but not limited to Indiana.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position
Additional Preferred Skills:
  • CPR for Health Care Provider certification.
  • Able to complete certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support prior to assignment start date
  • Able to complete NIOSH Spirometry Certification prior to assignment start date
  • Able to complete CAOHC Hearing Conservationist certification prior to assignment start date
  • Prior experience in occupational medicine is preferred
  • Prior experience in primary care medicine.
  • Prior experience using any electronic health record is helpful.
  • Must be able to assess, diagnose, and treat or refer health problems arising in the workplace.
  • APP will follow the provided approved Lilly Policy and Procedures.
  • APP will have on site only those approved medications as outlined in Lilly standing orders.
  • Must exhibit a high level of customer service and client responsiveness.
  • Must be proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel.

The anticipated wage for this position is $122,250 - $179,300Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
