What Patient Scheduler contributes to Cardinal HealthPractice Operations Management oversees the business and administrative operations of a medical practice.Patient Schedulers are responsible for booking and managing appointments for patients at a clinic, ensuring they see the right doctor at the appropriate time by coordinating schedules and minimizing wait times​.ResponsibilitiesScheduling:Schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments for patientsCoordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to set up appointmentsManage and prioritize appointment requests based on urgency and availabilityCommunicate with patients regarding their appointment details, changes, and cancellationsMaintain a high level of confidentiality regarding patient informationMonitor and manage patient wait listsMedical Records:Compiles, verifies, and files medical records.Reviews medical records for completeness, assembles records into standard order, and files records in designated areas or electronic medical records system.Files processed labs, pathology reports and loose correspondence into patient records once physician has reviewed and signed appropriately.Perform any other functions as required by management.Qualifications1-3 years of experience, preferredHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferredMedical Office experience requiredPatient scheduling and Medical Records experience highly desiredWhat is expected of you and others at this levelApplies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete standard tasksWorks on routine assignments that require basic problem resolutionRefers to policies and past practices for guidanceReceives general direction on standard work; receives detailed instruction on new assignmentsConsults with supervisor or senior peers on complex and unusual problemsAnticipated hourly range: $21.00 per hour - $25.30 per hourBonus eligible: NoBenefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.Medical, dental and vision coveragePaid time off planHealth savings account (HSA)401k savings planAccess to wages before pay day with myFlexPayFlexible spending accounts (FSAs)Short- and long-term disability coverageWork-Life resourcesPaid parental leaveHealthy lifestyle programsApplication window anticipated to close: 9/28/2025 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.The hourly range listed is an estimate.
