- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university required.
- 5 -10 years of civil engineering experience.
- P.E. license required.
- Desire to work on Municipal and Governmental projects with an emphasis on water, wastewater, paving, drainage, etc.
- Experience directly for a Municipality preferred (vs experience with Land / Site Development)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- In depth knowledge of civil engineering design
- Motivated to learn in a dynamic environment with short deadlines.
- Budgeting, Invoicing, Scheduling Projects
- Prepare Proposals, Level of Efforts, Coordinate with Subs (geotechnical, survey, environmental, electrical, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Report writing and creation of engineering exhibits
- Support CobbFendley Leads and Clients with analysis, engineering design, plans and specifications, and construction administration for various projects.
- Represent CobbFendley at client meetings and performing client coordination.
- Apply technical expertise and be able to work independently and with a project team on conventional and unconventional projects.
- Produce construction plan sets for a municipality and governmental clients.
- Perform independent research and adapt to changing priorities.
- Work in a collaborative team environment and perform self QA/QC of work.
- Able to communicate ideas and tasks effectively.

Most work is performed in a professional office environment. Some trips to client offices and job sites for observations will be required.Job site observations factors could include walking and climbing on uneven surfaces, exposure to outdoor environments and extreme weather (heat and freezing temperatures), noise exposure, driving for extended periods of time, exposure to allergens (e.g., pollen, dust, cedar, sumac, poison ivy), exposure to construction and traffic work zones, possible hand and power tool use, and extended periods of Personal Protective Equipment use.Extended use of electronic devices (e.g., computers, printers, copiers, scanners, plotters, and telephones).Use of cutting tools and equipment (e.g., plotting equipment, rotary paper cutter).EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
- This is a full-time position. Office work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM CST.
