The Milling Laborer is responsible for assisting the Mill Operator and supports the milling crew by assisting with surface preparation, traffic control, and clean-up during road milling operations.Pay: $20-23Shift/Schedule: Day Shift with Occasional Nights and WeekendsBenefits

ResponsibilitiesThe Laborer will:
Assist milling crew with daily operations, including setup, cleanup, and traffic control.
Remove loose asphalt, debris, and excess material using shovels, brooms, or blowers.
Support mill operator by monitoring ground conditions and maintaining safe work zones.
Guide trucks into proper position for loading and unloading millings.
Operate hand and power tools (e.g., jackhammers, saws) as needed for surface prep.
Communicate with operators and flaggers to ensure job site safety and efficiency.
Set up and maintain work zone signage, cones, and barricades in compliance with safety regulations.
Perform pre- and post-job site cleanup to maintain a clean and hazard-free environment.
Follow all company, site-specific, and DOT safety policies and procedures.
Assist with equipment maintenance, fueling, and minor adjustments as directed.
SkillsThe ideal candidate will have:
Milling crew experience
Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently
Ability to read, write and speak English
Valid driver's license and ability to drive a motor vehicle
Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, and work at heights or in outdoor conditions for extended periods
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Tolerance for varying temperatures, weather conditions, and loud work environments
Ability to safely navigate around heavy equipment and industrial operations
