
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Night Shift

- Provide skilled professional nursing care as prescribed by the physician, in compliance with State Board of Nursing regulations and Lutheran Home policies.
- Obtain and relay necessary information from the off-going nurse for resident care follow-up.
- Verify narcotic/controlled medication counts.
- Give daily reports/instructions and assign tasks to nursing assistants.
- Supervise nurse aides to ensure quality care and adherence to protocols.
- Monitor dining rooms during mealtimes to ensure proper diet and assistance for residents.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents and document care, medications, and treatments.
- Perform and document admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.
- Observe residents for changes in condition and report to physicians, families and nursing staff.
- Obtain and update physician orders as necessary.
- Provide education to residents and families on medical issues, including disease process, medications, and safety.
- Respond quickly to emergencies, initiating life-saving measures when needed.
- Address resident, family, or physician concerns, and reporting issues to the Unit Manager or Shift Supervisor.
- Promote a positive team culture, fostering respect and open communication.
Available shift:
- Night shift: 6:45 pm to 7:15 am

- Current unrestricted LPN license in the State of Missouri (or eligibility for licensure)
- CPR certification
- Experience with PCC preferred
