Maintains quality and safety standards, has a strong attention to details, and maintains equipment.Responsibilities:
Set up of machines including mills and lathes by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, bushings, cams, gears, stops, etc.
Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances.
Load machines by lifting stock into position.
Verify settings be measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.
Adjust controls, sharpen, and replace worn tools.
Follow quality assurance procedures and processes.
Take measurements to detect malfunctions and troubleshoot processes.
Document actions by completing production and quality records.
Qualifications:
Two-year degree in machining field and/or equivalent experience and education preferred
Previous experience in CNC machining
Proficiency in measuring/inspection tools (micrometer, caliper, gauges, etc.)
Excellent problem solving capabilities
Ability to multi-task with accuracy and efficiency
Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings and prints
