As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of their construction sub contracting business. This is a key leadership role that requires strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.Key Responsibilities:- Oversee all financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data- Manage the company's cash flow, including monitoring accounts receivable and payable, and making recommendations for improvements- Prepare and present financial statements and reports to senior management and external stakeholders- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure accurate and timely project cost tracking and reporting- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations for cost-saving initiatives- Manage the company's tax compliance and reporting requirements- Oversee the preparation and submission of all required financial filings and reports- Lead and develop a team of financial professionals, providing guidance and mentorship to support their growth and development- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and make recommendations for improvements and efficiencies in financial processes and systemsQualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field- CPA designation is preferred- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar financial management role, preferably in the construction industry- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software- Knowledge of construction accounting software, such as Sage 300 and ProcoreThey offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for growth and development within our company.
