Job Title IRC24079 Compensation and Benefits Analyst
Location Charlotte, NC
Description· Administers the Company's compensation and benefit programs, policies, and procedures. Assists in ensuring programs meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements and are cost effective.· Works closely with the Compensation Director and HR Managers to support management in the evaluation of jobs including market pricing for new roles and providing salary adjustment recommendations.· Assists with the annual compensation review process for merit reviews, pay increases, market trends, structure adjustments, and short-term incentive awards. Ensures HR system is accurately updated to reflect annual changes.· Participates in salary surveys to ensure company data is represented in vendor market data. Responsible for ensuring purchased survey data is correctly loaded into market pricing system for use in the benchmarking process.· Maintains compensation databases including but not limited to creating new job descriptions and maintaining the job description library, creating and updating company job titles, grades and ranges in the HR system, and maintaining accurate links to the Company's third-party benchmarking database. Ensures proper documentation is maintained to support changes.· Assists in preparing materials such as presentations and training documents for various compensation related initiatives.· Develops and maintains customer-oriented and responsive relationships with internal compensation clients such as business leaders, managers and HR, and provides assistance as needed to other areas within the HR organization.· Supports ongoing benefit process such as reviewing and processing billing, processing court order requests, completing Medicare forms, and ensuring proper documentation and compliance with applicable laws and regulations in assigned areas of responsibility.· Assists in or oversees the implementation of new benefits and prepares for annual open enrollment by preparing benefit fliers and notices, collaborates with new vendors, creates new content and assures online content is accurate, reviews and prepares annual notices.· Supports employees by providing clarification and information about benefit programs, and interfaces with vendors and third parties to resolve employee and dependent issues.· Manages benefit projects as assigned. May include such things as calculating and monitoring cost and quality, researching and assessing new benefit vendors or benefit offerings, and developing improved benefit processes.· Manages assigned benefit programs such as the Company's wellness program and various ancillary benefit and works closely with applicable benefit partners.· Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements· Strong knowledge of compensation practices, job evaluation methodologies, and market analysis· Familiarity with relevant employment and benefit laws and regulations, such as FLSA, ACA, ERISA, Section 125 Cafeteria plans, ACA, and state and local labor laws· Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office products; advanced proficiency preferred· Strong written and verbal communication skills· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights· Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment· Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion· Ability to work with confidential material· Ability to sit· Ability to effectively communicate; speaking, reading, understanding, writing and hearing clear English; pass audiogram in hearing conservation program as required by location· Basic math and computer skills· Ability to work inside an office· Ability to perform highly repetitive motions with fingers, hands, wrists, and shoulders· Ability to work alone, work with others, and interact with the public· Ability to perform under deadline pressure· Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines
