This role is ideal for experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety professionals who can implement and manage comprehensive EHS programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a culture of safety and accountability within a high-volume production environment.The EHS Manager will provide daily onsite oversight, conduct audits, lead training, and drive continuous improvement across all safety and environmental practices.CompensationπŸ’² Rate: $48–$50/hour (based on experience)

πŸ“… Schedule: Monday–Friday, occasional weekend work as needed during maintenance or shutdown activitiesProject ScopeThis assignment supports a food processing manufacturing facility with operations including:Production, packaging, and warehousingHigh-speed equipment and conveyor systemsSanitation and chemical handling programsWaste management and sustainability compliance initiativesContractor and vendor safety oversightResponsibilities include:Conducting daily site walks, hazard recognition, and safety oversightLeading toolbox talks, safety meetings, and targeted training sessionsCompleting daily safety reports, incident investigations, and regulatory documentationEnforcing OSHA 1910 General Industry standards and site-specific safety policiesSupporting environmental compliance programs, including air, water, and wasteCoordinating lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, and machine guarding programsOverseeing contractor onboarding, orientation, and safety performanceDriving corrective action plans and continuous improvement initiativesQualificationsβœ… OSHA 30 (General Industry, required)
βœ… 3–5 years of EHS experience within food processing, manufacturing, or industrial facilities
βœ… Strong knowledge of OSHA 1910 General Industry standards, EPA regulations, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
βœ… Ability to perform incident investigations using root cause analysis methods
βœ… Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and cross-functionallyAdditional Requirementsβœ… Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
βœ… Reliable transportation to and from the facility
βœ… Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and EHS management systems
