Job Title: Controls TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Controls Technician to maintain and enhance industrial automation equipment. This role involves assisting in the integration of new equipment and collaborating with external technicians to ensure proper installation.Responsibilities
Work closely with the automation engineering department.
Use AutoCAD Electrical to develop and edit drawings of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Identify equipment and components in need of replacement, such as relays, fuses, circuit breakers, and wiring.
Perform process improvements on industrial automation equipment to minimize downtime.
Utilize the Maintenance Information Management System to log technical repairs or improvements.
Essential Skills
Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, or related field.
3+ years of controls engineering experience.
Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Experience in programming and troubleshooting robotics, including Fanuc and ABB.
Familiarity with Siemens PLC and electronic troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Robotics certifications and trainings are a plus.
Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a large, clean manufacturing environment. It is a 1st shift opportunity, running from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with minimal overtime and no weekend work. The position offers the chance to develop and grow within the field of controls engineering and advance into the Automation Engineering department.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bluffton, Indiana.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.02/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
