Application Administrator

- Provide support, maintenance and continued development for technologies related to enterprise applications such as SIS (Ellucian Colleague), Document/Form/Workflow systems (Etrieve Central, Content, Serve, Security) Business Intelligence/Reporting System (Tableau Server, MS Reporting Services), DoorCard system (RS2), Scheduling system (EMS) and LMS (Moodle).
- Plan & perform regular software updates, patches, and system upgrades in coordination with vendors and other IIT staff.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, escalating to vendors or developers as needed.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to understand software needs and ensure effective use of systems.
- Develop and deliver training sessions, documentation, and best practice guidelines for faculty, staff, and students.
- Monitor system performance and usage, generating reports and analytics as needed.
- Maintain data integrity and security standards across all supported applications.
- Maintain or develop vendor relationships for on-going development, knowledge and risk management of supported applications.
- Provide Director of IIT with project management plans for service update/implementations
- Serve as a liaison between end users and software vendors for support and feature requests.
- Ability to provide on call availability for emergency issues and afterhours/weekend hours availability when updates require it
- Participate in meetings and events, as assigned.
- Willingness to undertake additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the Director of IIT as the role evolves over time to meet the department's changing needs.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience administering enterprise applications in an educational or similar.
- Familiarity with LMS, SIS, BI/Reporting and document management systems.
- Familiarity with SQL database querying.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Ability to train and support non-technical users.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Good written and oral communication skills; good interpersonal skills.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. Viterbo University is unable to sponsor or take over the sponsorship of the Employment Visa.
- Experience with higher education systems such as Ellucian Colleague, Moodle, Tableau, Microsoft Reporting Services or Etrieve.
- Knowledge of SQL, scripting, or basic programming for automation and reporting.
- Understanding of FERPA, HIPAA, and other data privacy regulations.
