As a Data Analytics Development Program Analyst/Associate within PNC's Data, Model & Analytics organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.Job DescriptionBy joining one of PNC’s Development Programs, you can explore your potential through hands-on experience in a professional environment. This is an excellent opportunity to begin exploring your career goals, in addition to growing your skills in key areas. The goal of PNC’s Development Programs is to move analysts and associates from development roles into production roles in one of PNC’s lines of business.Through coursework and projects, associates will gain proficiency in a wide range of advanced analytical techniques to manipulate, analyze, interpret, and visualize various types, structures and volumes of data across PNC. Associates will be fully embedded within the lines of businesses during the 18-month program enabling them to gain the necessary business knowledge to develop data products that meet the needs of the organization. Associates will gain exposure to commercial portfolio analytics, data engineering, machine learning and data visualization. It is expected that upon completion of the program, associates will have a strong background in data analysis, computational modeling, programming languages and frameworks (SQL, Python, R, etc.), product development and deployment, exposure to the big data ecosystem, and the ability to generate data-driven insights for the organization.Based on business need and upon successful completion of the Data Analytics Development Program, associates could be placed in a role that provides the opportunity to work in several analytics disciplines including Data Science, Business Analytics and Visualization.Opportunities in the Data Analytics Development Program are primarily located in Pittsburgh, PA.Learn more about PNC’s Development Programs on .Job Profile:​Participates as an analyst/associate in the line of business development program.
  • Performs or assists the core activities of the group by applying knowledge learned to drive business results (e.g. process support, internal customer interaction, or supporting internal projects). Works under supervision and may have limited approval and/or exception authority.
  • Participates in social learning within the organization (e.g. identifies and networks with business representatives and peers, participates in mentoring, job shadowing and community outreach).
  • Participates in formal learning (e.g. classroom, web-based, or virtual) and completes related activities and projects.
  • Supports the internal and external customer experience by always providing excellent service; takes accountability and ensures problem resolution.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Preferred STEM or business relevant majors (e.g. Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Business). Other majors can be considered with a strong proven interest in analytics.
  • Minimum GPA 3.2.
  • Experience in data analysis, preferably using SQL, Python, R, and/or Tableau.
  • Roles at this level are filled by recent university / college graduates with little or no professional experience but possessing relevant skills. Includes individuals joining the organization through a corporate development/training program.
