PCC is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.Position OverviewReporting directly to the Field Operations Manager I Dispatcher, the basic function of the Class A Driver/ Laborer is to maintain vehicle and jobsite organization, be responsible for all activities in regard to quality and timely work, and provide excellent customer service. Class A drivers are required to perform duties as directed, not only driving of commercial vehicles.Primary Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the resourceful use of all materials and high productivity/performance
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently.
  • Implement quality control efforts on every job to minimize go-backs
  • Ability to learn the details of all services and products that PCC provides and be versatile and able to multi task when required.
  • Ability drive and operate trucks, including manual transmissions.
  • Excellent ability to perform all duties associated with every type of service PCC provides.
  • Knowledge of traffic law, traffic flow and coning regulations. All proper attire must be worn by all employees, including but not limited to hard hats, safety glasses, ear plus, dust mask's, gloves, etc.
  • Maintain the quality and cleanliness of all equipment, vehicles, tools, and top of fuel and other fluids on a daily and as needed basis.
  • Demonstrate initiative on job sites and be able to operate & drive assigned vehicle responsibly.
  • Assist in end-of-the-day maintenance activities and loading as required.
  • Maintain a cooperative, positive, team like atmosphere with all employees
  • Ability to effectively operate all equipment and vehicles used on jobsites.
  • Time cards must be accurate every day, report to work on time each day and after lunch breaks, as well as not leaving too early or staying too late without written approval.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or dispatcher.
  • Training is available for those willing to be a team player.

  • Maintain a tactful, mature and professional demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse personnel
Education and/or Experience· High School diploma or equivalent preferred· U.S. Driving License required· Required Class A Driving License· Required: 1-2+ years of experience in road construction, i.e. paving, grading, etc. Preferred: 3 years of road construction experienceWhy Join
