- With guidance readily available, effectively, and efficiently assemble and test the majority of OSI-OKC Piper valve combinations according to documented guidelines and procedures.
- Assist in training new employees of the production area with high level of emphasis in the areas of Safety, Quality, and Sense of Pace during all shop activities.
- Assist in the implementation of new work processes to streamline all elements of production while assuring complete compliance with HSE and OSHA policies and practices.
- Assure compliance with Material Traceability, Torque Testing, First Pass Test Stand Datasheet, and Serialization Standards.
- Participate in Third Party Witness testing activities if necessary.
- Assist with Research & Development activities if necessary.
- Perform all tasks as required of a Safety Sensitive position.
- Support the maintenance of shop equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Effectively and efficiently use time to safely perform duties.
- Complete all paperwork in required manner and time frame.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn to produce new products, use new procedures, and embrace and support change.
- Operate shop equipment in a safe and approved manner.
- Follow and support established HSE programs.
- Report any unsafe situations to appropriate Management Team member if necessary.
- All other duties or tasks as assigned.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
- Ability to use and understand basic math and accounting principles.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects daily in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to speak, write and read English.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team on a broad variety of projects.
- Willingness to work additional hours to meet tight deadlines.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least one (1) year mechanical experience, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Previous direct valve manufacturing experience required.
- Must obtain and maintain active Level 1 OSI-OKC Piper certification to operate Class II forklifts and Class IV forklifts.
- Must obtain and maintain active OSI-OKC Piper certifications to operate cranes.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Extended walking, sitting, and/or standing.
- Frequent use of computer equipment to include but not limited to computer, monitors, keyboard, mouse, computerized data acquisition hardware, and employee time tracking hardware.
- Frequent use of company designated software programs to include but not limited to project time tracking software, and data acquisition software.
- Frequent use of various hand and power tools to include but not limited to air and hydraulic torque tools.
- Frequent use of overhead cranes and other lifting devices including but not limited to 1/2-ton cranes, 1-ton cranes, 5-ton cranes, and associated rigging.
- Frequent use of Class II and Class IV forklifts.
- Frequent use of high-pressure gas and liquid testing equipment.
- Directly impacts workplace safety through active participation in OSI-OKC Piper HSE programs and safe work practices.
- Immediately and directly impacts quality of product through assembly and testing processes and procedures.
- Indirectly impacts customer satisfaction through product quality, product appearance, packaging, and on-time delivery.
