- Monitor and manage funding needs for settlements, particularly through:
- DTC (Depository Trust Company)
- Clearstream
- Other ad-hoc channels as required
- Ensure settlement funding readiness across multiple platforms and instruments.
- Provide oversight of BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) team: act as liaison and quality controller.
- Troubleshoot settlement issues (e.g., fails, incorrect allocations, mismatches).
- Chase missing coupon or interest payments and follow up on delayed settlements or unresolved trade issues.
- Support trade allocations and confirmations.
- Work closely with front-office and middle-office teams, ensuring timely trade capture and processing.
- Assist in customer trade allocations, trade amendments, and exception handling.
- Be a flexible contributor, adapting to team needs and shifting timelines.
- Provide support where needed, even outside of your day-to-day scope.
- 3–5 years in a financial services operations role, ideally with exposure to both middle- and back-office environments.
- Direct experience with IMPACT (trade settlement system) and Bloomberg is advantageous.
- Experience liaising with Front-Office staff is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, from order capture through to post-settlement.
- Proficiency in process analysis, ability to identify inefficiencies and streamline operations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interfacing across teams and with vendors.
- Ability to work independently or within a small, fast-moving team, especially under tight deadlines.
- Series 99 or Series 7 license is a plus
