ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots all insurance/Rx denials.
- Maintains petty cash and change fund balances.
- Mixes pharmaceutical preparations, fills bottles/blister packs with prescribed tablets and capsules, and types labels for bottles/blister packs.
- Assists Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medication.
- Receives and stores incoming supplies. Counts stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
- Processes records of medication and equipment dispensed to customer or hospital patient, computes charges, and enters data in computer.
- Cleans equipment and sterilizes glassware according to prescribed methods.
Graduate of a pharmacy technician program preferred.
One year of retail pharmacy experience preferred.Certification and LicensurePharmacy Technician Licensure required
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Certification through NHA required.Skills and Abilities
